Topic: Preparing for an OSHA Inspection
Topic Description: This presentation will cover the basics of the OSHA inspection process,
what to expect, and how to prepare.
Learning Objectives:
1. Understand the basics of the OSHA inspection process.
2. Steps employers can take for OSHA inspection success.
3. Basic requirements of OSHA incident reporting and OSHA 300 recordkeeping.
Speaker: Brent Long - Risk Performance Group Advisor
Speaker Bio: Brent joined Scott’s Risk Performance Group in 2003 with more than 17 years of experience in loss prevention and risk management. Prior to Scott, he worked as a consultant for Liberty Mutual where his responsibilities included completion of accident investigation/analysis, loss source identification, safety program development and evaluation, on-site safety audits, and supervisory safety training. In this role, he also served as a resource for the Underwriting Department regarding risk evaluation. As a Senior Accident Prevention Consultant for Royal & SunAlliance, Brent assisted clients in implementing safety accountability programs, accident investigations, return to work programs, safety committees, hazard identification, and control and accident frequency tracking. He received his BS in Industrial Engineering from North Carolina State University. He also has his certification as a Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP).
