Karen has spent the last 20 years serving and leading a variety of human resources and talent disciplines, in multiple industries – including retail distribution, healthcare and manufacturing.  Throughout her career she continued to leverage her strengths in, strategic planning and business partnerships, employee relations and policy development, performance management, training and leadership development design and delivery and even culture and employee experience initiatives.  She’s currently the Plant HR Leader for Glad Manufacturing, Inc., a Clorox Company, located in Amherst, VA.

Frequently, the workplace environment presents us with circumstances for drama to thrive.  Have you ever experienced complaining, whining, hurt feelings, gossip, petty arguments, power struggles, or conflict?  HR professionals spend a significant amount of time responding to employees and managers on this very "human" side of work.  When we bring humans together, mix in business demands like strong performance and productivity, financial constraints, workplace stressors, varying personality styles, and much, much, more, there's a strong chance negative behaviors will show up too.  This session will shine a light on behaviors that keep us from high performance at work and explore tactics to moving away from drama and into better organizational results.
