Speaker: Lora A. Sellers, MSHRM Human Resource Executive
Lora Sellers has over 30 years of experience as a global HR Leader in Human Resources (HR) management. As a strategic Human Resources Executive, Lora has successfully led organizational change in the pharmaceuticals, financial services, and government industries. She held numerous senior leadership roles, such as Chief HR Officer (CHRO), Corporate Director of HR, Vice President of HR, Director of Employment Practices for North America, Global Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and Assistant Vice President of HR. In 2009 during the economic recession, Lora founded “Sellers HR Consulting (SHRC),” an independent consulting firm that offered a full range of customized HR solutions. She served as the CEO/Principal HR Consultant. In recent years, Lora returned to the corporate world and is currently the Director of HR Business Partnering at Regional Finance (Regional Management Corp), where she leads the HR team to deliver strategic HR solutions to meet business objectives. Lora is recognized in the HR industry as an effective “change agent” with the ability to quickly establish rapport at all levels within an organization, from front line staff to the C-Suite. Lora is grateful to always have a “seat at the table” where she can influence positive outcomes for “all team members” in the firm.
Lora possesses a Master of Science in Human Resources Management and a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources Management from Wilmington University. She also possesses a certification in Strategic HR Leadership Development from Cornell University. Lora is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) and has served as an Executive Board member for several non-profit organizations. She is a Motivational Speaker on topics such as, Diversity and Inclusion, Strategic Leadership, The Power of Networking, and Self Esteem. She is a proud two-time award recipient of the Black Achiever Award, which recognizes trail blazers in business and in our communities. In her free time, Lora enjoys running, shopping, reading, and spending time with her best friend, her husband, Henry.
Lora recently moved from Lynchburg and currently resides in South Carolina with her husband.
