Topic: Leadership Imperatives: Emotional Intelligence and Compatibility
Speaker: Tom Coffey, Senior Performance Consultant at Effective Performance Solutions, LLC
Presentation Summary: Leaders at all organizational levels are limited in successfully maximizing their roles due to the level of expertise in the area of Emotional Intelligence. Research indicates that organizational effectiveness and achievement of KPIs are directly linked to the ability of leaders to effectively communicate and promote appreciation and acknowledgement of the contributions of all employees.
Emotional Intelligence is the key component in this process. Studies found that 90% of top performers are also high in emotional intelligence. On the flip side, just 20% of bottom performers are high in emotional intelligence.
Another key element that is not normally recognized is the concept of compatibility in teams. This concept will also be briefly examined in the webinar.
