    Topic: The New Face of Diversity

    The program will explore the new faces of diversity in the US.  We will discuss why diversity and inclusion are important in 2019 and beyond and then dig in on the new groups that contribute to a diverse workforce and who cannot be forgotten to be successful.  We will discuss strategy for attracting a diverse workforce and strategy to keep them. Some of the groups we will explore are aging workforce, ex-offenders, veteran and military, LGBTQ, other populations.   

    Diversity today, how to recruit and retain diverse population in today’s global economy, create value proposition for your organization and the executive team to sell importance of diversity and inclusion.     Speaker:  Jeff Luttrell, SPHR, SHRM-SCP

    Jeff received his BA in Journalism from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He started his professional career in the publishing and advertising world and after 8 years, he made a career change. Jeff has been a recruiter in the Raleigh/Durham area for 20 years and recently relocated to Asheville, NC.  He has both staffing industry experience and corporate recruiting experience including international recruiting.  He has led teams for large hiring projects, niche and specialty roles and executive recruitment. 

    Jeff is currently Senior Director of Talent Acquisition with Alorica, a business process outsourcing company based in Irvine, CA.  He leads teams of recruiters across the US. His current teams focus on high volume call center staffing where they hire nearly 70,000 people a year.  Previously, he was a Recruiting Manager in Global Talent Acquisition and Staffing with Xerox in the outsource services division and an Area Manager for Kelly Services.  

    Jeff is the Southeast Region MAC Rep for 2018-19 and has been an active SHRM volunteer for close to 15 years.  He was a Board member with Raleigh-Wake HRMA for the past 10 years including Treasurer, President, SHRM Foundation Director and VP of Community. Jeff served as Director of the NCSHRM State Council Director for 2016-2017. He co-chaired the Pinnacle award winning HR on Call for RWHRMA and co-chaired the 2011 NCSHRM State Conference.  He served on SHRMs HR Disciplines panel in 2016 and on the Talent Acquisition panel in 2017.
