Lindsey A. Coley, Partner
Lindsey Coley is a Gentry Locke partner whose practice focuses on Labor & Employment law and Estate Planning. Lindsey advises private businesses and government contractors on employment-related compliance issues relating to the FLSA, ADA, FMLA, Title VII and other employment laws, responds to complaints filed with the EEOC, represents companies during compliance investigations by the DOL and OFCCP, and develops employment policies and contracts to protect the interests of the employer. Lindsey also prepares estate planning documents and advises clients on issues relating to estate and trust administration. She has been recognized as a Virginia Rising Star in Employment & Labor every year since 2011 by Virginia Super Lawyers.

Cate Huff practices in the Employment, Insurance, and Workers’ Compensation practice groups and has litigated in federal and state courts throughout Virginia. Cate defends employers against discrimination and workplace claims and advises businesses in the restaurant and hospitality industry on employment issues. Cate was named a Rising Star by “Virginia Super Lawyers” three years in a row and was honored as a “Legal Elite” by Virginia Business magazine. Cate graduated magna cum laude from Virginia Tech and received her J.D. from Liberty University.

Lindsey Coley and Cate Huff of Gentry Locke Attorneys will review basic requirements for handbooks. They will describe which policies should be included to comply with VA state and Federal laws and regulations. They will also answer frequently asked HR questions submitted by LRSHRM and VEC members.
