New Overtime Rules – What You Need to Know
The Department of Labor finally published its much anticipated changes to the overtime regulations. Among other changes, the new overtime regulations double the salary requirement for exempt employees. This new salary requirement of $47,476 will be automatically increased every three years. Although these changes are not effective until December 1st, employers need to understand them now and evaluate what changes are needed to remain in compliance and to minimize the impact of these changes on your business.
