    Amy Miles Kowalski and John E. Falcone

    Amy Miles Kowalski began her legal career in 1995 as a law clerk to the Honorable Robert H. Hodges Jr. of the United States Court of Federal Claims. After her clerkship, Amy practiced with the commercial litigation section of McGuire Woods Battle & Boothe in Northern Virginia. After moving with her family to Lynchburg, Amy began a solo practice before joining Petty Livingston Dawson & Richards in January 2015. Her areas of practice include employment and commercial litigation. She is admitted to practice in all State and Federal Courts in the State of Virginia.

    Education: Washington & Lee University, B.A. in English and Art History 1991, Phi Beta Kappa; George Mason University School of Law, J.D. (with distinction) 1995

    John Falcone has been a trial lawyer since 1978, and has attained the Martindale-Hubbell AV-Preeminent Rating. His areas of practice include employment and commercial litigation as well as media law. He has extensive experience representing plaintiffs and defendants in the Federal and State courts of Virginia, as well in appellate courts. He is admitted to practice in all State and Federal Courts in Virginia, as well as in the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.

    Among his professional activities, John served as President of the Lynchburg Bar Association in 1993-1994. John has also been extensively involved in the Lynchburg community, serving on the boards of numerous community and charitable institutions, including serving for 10 years on the City of Lynchburg Electoral Board. He was Chairman of the Electoral Board from 2011-2013.
