    Achieving Success Through Inclusion”

Workplaces across Virginia are increasingly diverse.  Although diversity can contribute to myriad positive outcomes, research shows that groups which do not actively manage diversity often experience worse results.  This interactive workshop will increase awareness of conscious and unconscious biases that prevent successful outcomes from inclusion.  Participants will leave with knowledge, motivation, and skills to thrive in increasingly diverse organizations.

Jonathan C. Zur is President & CEO of the Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities.  Under Jonathan’s leadership, VCIC increased the number of programs delivered annually by over 470%, and the organization has been recognized locally and nationally for its effectiveness by groups including the Virginia General Assembly, Diversity Richmond, GreatNonprofits, the Interfaith Council of Greater Richmond, Partnership for the Future, the Urban League of Hampton Roads, and the Valentine.  An experienced facilitator and consultant on issues of diversity and inclusion, Jonathan has been a presenter at the national Creating Change Conference, the International Leadership Association Conference, and the National Conference on Race & Ethnicity.  For his contributions, he has received a number of awards, including the Stettinius Award for Nonprofit Leadership and being named one of Richmond’s “Top 40 Under 40.” Jonathan is a graduate of the University of Richmond's Jepson School of Leadership Studies, and he earned a Certificate in Nonprofit Executive Leadership from Indiana University.
