“LCS & Workforce Development: Our Plan to Prepare Today's Talent for Tomorrow's Workplace”
Scott Brabrand is currently in his third year as superintendent of the Lynchburg City Schools. Dr. Brabrand’s tenure in Lynchburg has been marked by creating a modified calendar for 2015-2016. This calendar incorporates two weeks of targeted intersessions for students during the school year along with more teacher professional development time. He has also implemented LCS-One, a one-to-one initiative that provided Chromebooks to all 9th graders this year for both instruction and SOL testing. LCS-One will be expanded to all high school students this fall. He continues to work with students, teachers, parents and community members to achieve Lynchburg City Schools’ mission of “Every Child, By Name and By Need, to Graduation.”
