Labor and legislative issues are heating up again in Washington. Oddly, however, the impacts ,present and future, are more evident in federal agencies than on Capitol Hill. Society of Human Resource Management of Central Virginia's Annual Legislative Update Session will provide its membership with the latest updates on what’s happening with the public policy issues that have the potential to impact the day-to-day tasks of HR professionals.

On September 8, 2011, SHRMCV will provide its members with several opportunities to learn more about these legislative and rulemaking activities, and to share their views about them. Guest speakers will be:

    Timothy M. McConville

Tim McConville is a principal in the firm's labor and employment practice group, and he represents employers in all aspects of the employer-employee relationship.  His experience includes the defense of Fortune 500 and multi-national companies as well as small and mid-sized employers in litigation and agency matters.  He has defended employers in Virginia, Maryland and other states around the nation.  Mr. McConville also specializes in counseling management in labor and employment issues, emphasizing timely analysis and practical solutions to accomplish organizational goals and legal compliance.
